Ag Machinery Mate attended the Merredin Farms Dispersal Sale in Western Australia on February 17, 18, 19 to have a look at a large number of lots for Ag Machinery Mate customers and interested bidders.
The theme of the sale was that much of the equipment lacked basic maintenance ie grease in critical areas of most machines.
However, there were some that were in excellent condition. Areas like Track tensioners on all the tracked tractors leading to track alignment issues, leading to track wear and a costly repair bill.
Sprayers, for the most part, lacked grease in the critical front steering and suspension - this leading to steering component wear, it not steering straight with auto steer, tyre wear and a costly repair bill.
Without inspection and bidding on these lots was a very risky idea as most of them had a repair bill attached.
